Students register via their own phones and a barcode is texted and emailed to them immediately.
They can then use this code during the fair to easily share their interest and information with a college rep.

How does the process work?
First - register on StriveScan at the link above. This will create your unique identifier that will be used to check in to the event.
Then download the App to have it ready to go.
Second - A few hours before the fair your barcode will be sent to you AGAIN!
This ensures that the data is on top of the pile and you are ready to go.
Lastly - you attend the fair! Use your barcode to check-in and share your info with colleges.
At the end of the fair you will be able to see everyone you connected with & their contact information. You will also have the opportunity to easily share your details with colleges you weren't able to get to but are interested in.
What information do you share with the college?
That is up to you! Basic contact information is required such as name, email, address, grade etc. Optionally: You can also add GPA, SAT Scores, Areas of Interest and other defining factors to your profile to share with college reps. After the fair is over - those reps will get a report of everyone they interacted with and can follow up directly. Making the effort to connect with a college can offer a boost during the admissions process.
How can students without smartphones participate?
While student registration is quick and easy from a smartphone, not every student will have one available.
Any student may register from a desktop computer, laptop, Chromebook, or tablet to obtain a barcode. The barcode is emailed to the student and can be printed out. College representatives can scan the paper barcode exactly the same way they would a smartphone barcode.
Even if the student does not have access to a printer, the barcode will contain an ID number. That ID number can be provided to the college representative to enter into the StriveScan app using the Manual Entry feature.

We are excited to announce that we are a StriveScan fair!
We have partnered with StriveScan to bring electronic student scanning to our college fair. Using the StriveScan mobile app, you will be able to easily scan students' barcodes to collect their information. This will save your institution the time and expense of processing hundreds of paper inquiry cards, while being environmentally-friendly and allowing students more time to have valuable conversations.
You can purchase a college fair credit directly from the StriveScan website or via their mobile app at any point prior to our fair. Credits never expire, and can be used at any fair throughout the country!
